EuroDRONE is an Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) demonstration project, funded by the EU’s SESAR organization, and its aim to test validate key UTM technologies for Europe’s ‘U-Space’ program. The architecture comprises cloud software (DroNav) hardware (transponder) be installed on drones. proposed system a Highly Automated Air System small UAVs operating at low altitudes. It sophisticated, self-learning based elements, in distributed computing environment, offering multiple levels of redundancy, fail-safe algorithms conflict prevention/resolution assets management. focuses work functionalities which involve use new communication links, vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) technology communicate information between drones operators safe effective functionality. Practical demonstrations that took place Patras/Messolonghi 2019 are presented show benefits shortcomings near-term implementation Europe.
